Patchouli

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) — Premium Indonesian Essential Oil

Patchouli Essential Oil

Patchouli Oil is a natural essential oil extracted from the dried leaves of Pogostemon cablin. Known for its deep, earthy, and long-lasting aroma, patchouli is widely used as a base note in perfumery, cosmetics, aromatherapy, and functional fragrance formulations.

We supply two origin variants ; Patchouli Oil (Sumatra) and Patchouli Oil (Sulawesi), each selected for its characteristic aroma and commercial application. Indonesia remains the world’s primary supplier (≈1,000–1,200 t/year), with Sulawesi representing the bulk of production and Sumatra prized for higher patchouli-alcohol content.

Typical farm yields vary by region and practice; representative studies indicate oil productivities on the order of ~200–250 kg oil/ha/year (varies by harvest and processing). For specification, please request the lot COA (patchouli-alcohol %, GC-MS profile) and available packaging options

Patchouli Oil – Sumatra

With a rich, deep and distinctly earthy aroma, Sumatra patchouli is prized for its relatively high patchouli-alcohol content, making it especially well suited to fine fragrance and luxury perfume formulations.

Sourced through long-term partnerships with local growers, this variant delivers consistent quality and excellent fixation properties, ensuring long-lasting scent performance in premium accords.

Patchouli Oil – Sulawesi

Characterized by a cleaner, lighter profile with balanced woody and herbal notes, Sulawesi patchouli is ideal for cosmetics, aromatherapy and personal-care formulations.

Produced in controlled growing regions to ensure reliable supply, this variant blends smoothly into formulations and is particularly valuable for functional fragrance applications that require stability and versatility.
